Mounting and Powering the Device in an
Automobile
WARNING
This product contains a lithium-ion battery. To prevent the
possibility of personal injury or product damage caused by
battery exposure to extreme heat, store the device out of direct
sunlight.
Both the device and its mount contain magnets. Under certain
circumstances, magnets may cause interference with some
internal medical devices, including pacemakers and insulin
pumps. Keep the device and its mount away from such medical
devices.
NOTICE

devices, including hard drives in laptop computers. Use caution
when the device or its mount is near electronic devices.
The RV HUB remote can operate independently as a full-
featured navigation device. You can use an optional automobile
mount accessory to mount the remote in another vehicle. This is
useful when your RV is parked and you are using an automobile
to travel locally. Go to

Installing a Memory Card for Maps and Data
You can install a memory card to increase the storage space for
maps and other data on your device. You can purchase memory
cards from an electronics supplier, or go to
to purchase a memory card with pre-loaded Garmin
mapping software. The device supports microSD memory cards
from 4 to 32 GB.

Connecting to Scheiber
™
Controls and
Sensors
If your RV includes a Scheiber system or modules, you can use
the included Xperience
™
app to view sensor data and interact
with control modules in your Scheiber system.

Connect your Scheiber interface module to the
CAN 2
CAN bus port on the back of your RV HUB dock.
This is usually performed by a professional installer. The
required cables and adapters are provided with your
Scheiber system. For more information about the location of
the CAN 2 port, see the installation instructions for your
RV HUB stereo.

On the RV HUB remote, select

to activate the Xperience app.

to launch the
Xperience app and interact with your Scheiber system.
NOTE:
The Xperience app is not available when the RV HUB
remote is in the RV HUB dock.
Troubleshooting
My remote cannot control the dock
The remote controls the dock using a wi-fi connection. If you
cannot control the dock playback using the remote, you can try
these options to connect the devices.
• Remove the remote from the dock and place in back into in
the dock (
).
Each time you place the remote in the dock, it receives the
wi-fi connection information from the dock and connects
automatically.
• Verify the dock is receiving power.
The remote cannot connect to the dock when it is turned off.
• If the dock is in station mode, verify the selected wi-fi network
is available (

).
If the dock cannot connect to the selected Wi-Fi network
while it is in station mode, it cannot create a connection to the
remote. If no Wi-Fi network is available, you should set the
dock to access point mode (
).

My device is not acquiring satellite signals
• Verify the GPS simulator is turned off (
).
• Take your device out of parking garages and away from tall
buildings and trees.
• Remain stationary for several minutes.
