Flying the Missed Approach
In event of a missed approach, the GTN 6XX unit continues to give guidance
along an extension of the final course segment (FAF to MAP) until you
manually initiate the missed approach procedure (as mentioned in reference to
the “SUSP” advisory).
NOTE:
If the unit is not configured for a CDI key, then the “Activate GPS Missed
Approach” will only resume automatic waypoint sequencing. The user must
switch to GPS navigation, if desired, by using their external source selection
method (this is typical of an EFIS system).
1. When the MAP is reached, a pop-up will appear.

the Missed Approach Hold Point.
Flying an Approach with a Hold
The Flight Plan Page displays a timer or distance, as appropriate, during
the holding pattern. Use this timer or distance to fly the outbound portion of
the holding pattern. The holding pattern is displayed on the Map Page and
indicated as the active leg on the Active Flight Plan pages.
NOTE:
If you need to lose extra altitude or speed by going around the holding
pattern again, touch
SUSP
to manually suspend waypoint sequencing BEFORE
crossing the holding waypoint the second time. If you’ve already passed this
waypoint, re-activate the holding pattern leg.
