Connectivity
Connectivity features are available for your watch when you pair with your compatible phone ( Pairing
Your Phone, page 43 ). Additional features are available when you connect your watch to a Wi‑Fi network
( Connecting to a Wi‑Fi Network, page 46 ).
Phone Connectivity Features
Phone connectivity features are available for your Venu Sq 2 watch when you pair it using the Garmin Connect
app (
Pairing Your Phone, page 43 ).
• App features from the Garmin Connect app, the Connect IQ app, and more ( Apps and Activities, page 2 )
• Glances ( Glances, page 17 )
• Controls menu features ( Controls, page 23 )
• Safety and tracking features ( Safety and Tracking Features, page 49 )
• Phone interactions, such as notifications ( Enabling Bluetooth Notifications, page 44 )
Pairing Your Phone
To set up the Venu Sq 2 watch, it must be paired directly through the Garmin Connect app, instead of from the
Bluetooth settings on your phone.
1 From the app store on your phone, install and open the Garmin Connect app.
2 Select an option to enable pairing mode on your watch:
• If this is the first time you are setting up your watch, press to turn on the watch.
• If you previously skipped the pairing process or paired your watch with a different phone, hold , and
select > Connectivity > Phone > Pair Phone to manually enter pairing mode.
3 Select an option to add your watch to your Garmin Connect account:
• If this is the first device you have paired with the Garmin Connect app, follow the on-screen instructions.
• If you have already paired another device with the Garmin Connect app, from the
or menu, select
Garmin Devices > Add Device, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Viewing Notifications
1 From the watch face, swipe up or down to view the notifications glance.
2 Select the glance.
3 Select a notification to read the full notification.
4 Swipe up to view the notification options.
5 Select an option:
• To act on the notification, select an action, such as Dismiss or Reply.
The available actions depend on the type of notification and your phone operating system. When you
dismiss a notification on your phone or the Venu Sq 2 watch, it no longer appears in the glance.
• To return to the notification list, swipe right.
