Cleaning the turbine :
Risk of fire and explosion !
V
Never clean the air filter with petrol or solvent with a low
fire point.
1. Press together the locking tabs
H
by hand and remove the air
filter cover
I
.
2. Remove the air filter
J
, clean (e.g. using washing up liquid)
and leave to dry.
3. Dip the air filter
J
into clean motor oil and press out the
excess oil.
4. Reinsert the air filter
J
and fit the air filter cover
I
.
The spark plug must be free of combustion residues to ensure
that the motor functions correctly. We recommend only replacing
an old spark plug with spark plugs with the designation BPM-4A
or BPM R4A (NGK).
1. Unplug the spark plug connector
K
.
2. Unscrew the spark plug
L
using the spark plug spanner
M
provided.
3. Clean the spark plug
L
and if necessary adjust the electrode
gap to 0.6 - 0.7 mm by bending the electrode.
4. Screw in the spark plug
L
all the way in by hand.
5. Tighten the spark plug using the spark plug spanner:
– 1/ 2 a turn for a new spark plug
– 1/4 to 1/ 8 of a turn for an old spark plug
Use a mild cleaning agent (e.g. washing up liquid) to rinse the
pump.
1. After pumping pesticides, lime paints, saltwater or fertilisers
rinse the pump with warm water (max. 35 ° C).
2. Dispose of residuals according to the guidelines of waste
disposal laws.
3. Remove deposits and foreign bodies in the cooling fins
N
using a clean cloth.
Maintenance work is not covered by the guarantee. You may be
charged for maintenance work performed by GARDENA.

2. Remove the housing cover
P
.
