Never allow the battery to become fully discharged. This may cause a fault
to develop.

Using the shears

1.

Press the safety lock-off switch (7) and depress the on/off switch (8).

2.

Practice with the shears flat at first with small areas until you are
comfortable and more confident.

3.

Work in straight rows, keeping the head of the trimmer at the correct
height and not pointing down into the earth.

4.

Do not attempt to cut high sections at once, take the top section off,
then move lower, gradually as required.

Note:

when you release the on/off switch it will re-engage the safety lock-off

switch, this is to prevent accidental start-up.

Care and maintenance

Before each use check the trimming shears for any obvious defects such as
loose, worn or damaged parts.

Do not use the trimming shears if there is any sign of damage.

Check the outer sections of the body for any damage and if present get a
qualified person to replace.

Carry out the following maintenance and cleaning work regularly:

Every time you use the trimming shears clean all parts especially the
blades. Remove any moisture, debris or dust and store in a clean dry
environment.

Do not use or submerge the trimming shears in water or use cleaning
agents or solvents, these may damage the trimming shears.

Do not try to service the trimming shears yourself, always take it to a
qualified repair person.

We recommend using a small amount of lubricating oil, periodically, to
keep your blades in a good condition.
