Error / Problem

Possible Causes

Action

zero offset is within tolerance. (If it is not
within tolerance, the Control Unit will give an
01 error.) If you did not receive an 01 error, re-
test the Control Unit.

The unit fails the
“Temperature
Verification” test
described in the
“Calibration /
Verification” section: If
the

Reference

Thermometer

consistently reads more
than 5 °F colder than
the

Target

Temperature

Mismatched units

Check that the Control Unit and the Reference
Thermometer are both displaying °F

Insufficient heat load

Try using a larger Wrap for the verification, or
place a warm object on the Wrap.

Excessively high water level in the ice
box.

If the water level is too high, or the heat load
too small, the water temperature in the
baffles will not heat up quickly. Fill the Control
Unit according to the fill level indicated inside
the ice box and/or add additional heat load
during the test.

Inaccurate Reference Thermometer

Check the accuracy of the reference
thermometer by pushing down on the
retaining color on the Tee fitting while pulling
out the thermometer probe. Soak
thermometer probe in ice water while stirring.
Temperature probe should be at 32 °F

Thermistor accuracy is out of
specification

Your Control Unit may require service.
