OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
IRON (Fig. 25 - 26)
USING THE STEAM GENERATOR
FOR IRONING
To use the iron, install the iron connection (3) to
the accessory socket
(Fig. 25A)
. Follow the
same procedure used for attaching the hose.
Refer to "Fitting the hose" on page 8
(Fig. 8)
.
-
Rotate the iron’s temperature selector knob (23)
to the desired temperature notch in order to adapt
the temperature of the iron sole plate to the type
of fabric you are going to iron. (Fig. 26).
-
Wait about 3 min. for the iron plate to reach
the selected temperature.
-
Proceed as per normal (as you would do with
dry ironing) and release steam when necessary
by pressing the button (22) on the handle.
NOTE
Steam ironing is particularly suitable for
removing shine spots from clothes and
making woollen garments, curtains, etc.
come alive again. Upright ironing is also
possible.
IMPORTANT
Be extremely careful when ironing different
types of fabrics in the same ironing session.
It is advisable to gradually increase the
temperature in the SYNTHETICS/ SILK /
WOOL/ COTTON / LINEN sequence. This
will eliminate idle times. At any rate, should
you need to change from high to low
temperatures (silk, synthetics, etc.) wait at
least 8-10 minutes for the iron plate to cool
down, otherwise you run the risk of
damaging garments and soiling the plate.
