Empty the drip tray and place it back. Remove the filter (if fitted).

Remove the Capp in Cup system from the steam/hot water wand.

Place a large container (1.5 l) under the steam/hot water wand and the
dispensing spout.

Remove and empty the water tank. Pour in the entire content of the
Gaggia descaling solution.

Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the CALC CLEAN level. Put the water
tank back into the machine.

Press and hold the
" button for 3 seconds. When the button starts
flashing, release it to start the cycle.
The
button flashes during the whole descaling cycle.

The machine starts dispensing the descaling solution from the steam/hot
water wand (the “ ” button glows steady) and from the dispensing spout (the
“
” button glows steady), at intervals of about 1 minute.

When the descaling solution is finished, the
LED light turns on and the
“
” button flashes.

Empty the container and place it back under the steam/hot water wand and
under the dispensing spout.
10
Remove the water tank, rinse it and fill it up with fresh water up to the MAX
level.
Place the water tank back into the machine.

Empty the drip tray and place it back. Insert the
container.
