CompuGen 3250 accessories
There are two accessories that can be purchased with the CG3250:

68 wire Pleated Foil Cable
•
BNC Breakout Board
The Pleated foil cable uses copper conductors encapsulated in a specialized Teflon substrate to create just the
right dielectric constant such that when wrapped in a “pleated copper foil”, each conductor becomes equivalent
to a 50
Ω
coaxial cable.
Thus, this cable is equivalent to 68 coaxial cables. CG3250 uses half of these conductors as GROUND wires,
thereby providing even better noise immunity.
The BNC Breakout Board is invaluable in allowing the user to quickly verify the operation of the CompuGen
3250. This board breaks out all 32 data lines, one Trigger line and one Clock line into 34 BNC connectors
which can easily be connected to other devices using standard 50
Ω
coaxial cables.
