FILLING & BLEEDING PROCEDURE:

NOTE:

Air bleeder assy (704153) and fill bottle (745263) are required.

WARNING:

Do not cycle tool without air bleeder assy, or button head cap screw and stat-o-seal, installed in tool head.

                                  Severe personal injury may result.

CAUTION:

Before filling handle, air piston assy should be all the way down.

CAUTION:

When forcing piston rod assy downward with head cylinder removed, hydraulic oil will eject forcibly from handle.

CAUTION:

Use CAUTION when removing button head cap screw (402482), hydraulic oil may be under pressure.

WARNING:

Apply Loctite 242 and torque to 40 inch pounds.

  5. Attach hydraulic hoses (A-1282) to manifold-handle (745303).

(See hydraulic thread preparations Page 6)

  6. Install barbed fitting (S1181) to manifold-handle (745303) and attach air line (704311) and hose clamp (A-144) and tighten.
  7. Slide hose guard (703561) over all three hoses.
  8. Push piston (745310) in head cylinder (745366) until you achieve .767" (19.5 mm) from full forward position. Stretch entire
tool out in a horizontal position across table or floor.
  9. Attach handle-split (700326) to air line (704311) and secure handle-split (700326) to hydraulic hoses (A-1282).

(See

hydraulic thread preparations Page 6)

10. Remove button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) from manifold-handle (745303) and right hole (stamped #1) on
head cylinder (745366). Attach fill bottle (745263) to hole side stamped “P” on manifold-handle (745303).
11. Pump oil into head cylinder (745366) by squeezing fill bottle (745263) located at manifold-handle (745303) until oil comes out from right

hole stamped #1 on head cylinder (745366). Replace button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) on head cylinder (745366)

hole stamped #1. Remove fill bottle (745263) and replace button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) on manifold-handle

(745303) and torque both 35-40 inch lbs.

12. Remove button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) from manifold-handle (745303) on rear hole side, stamped
“R” and head cylinder (745366) left hole stamped #2. Attach fill bottle (745263) to rear hole side, stamped “R”, on manifold-
handle (745303). Pump oil into head cylinder (745366) until oil comes out of left hole stamped #2. Remove fill bottle
(745263) and replace button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) on both and torque 35-40 inch lbs.
13. Stand handle assy (744129) on floor, extend hoses upward (onto a table) with head assembly sitting on an elevated surface.
14. Remove button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) from manifold-handle (745303) hole stamped “P”. Attach  air bleeder assy
(704153) to manifold-handle (745303) hole stamped “P”. Connect tool to air supply and cycle 10 times (removing any air bubbles).
