ADJUSTING THE TOP THREAD TENSION
SELECTING THE IDEAL THREAD TENSION
The thread tension has to be adjusted according to
the thickness and stiffness of fabric and the number
of layers. Adjust the thread tension by turning the
tension dial. For the most stitches the top thread and
the bobbin thread should lock exactly in the middle of
the two layers of fabric.

TOP THREAD TENSION TO HIGH
The thread tension is too high when the bobbin thread
is visible on the right side of the fabric. Reduce the
tension by setting the tension dial to a smaller
number.
TOP THREAD TENSION TO LOW
The thread tension is too low when the top thread is
visible on the left side of the fabric. Increase the
tension by selecting a higher number with the tension
dial.
