Installing instrument to the Server
ll FI-30 instruments are connected directly to the Nexus Network in a daisy chain. They
all use the same colour coded 4-pole jack plugs.
3.1.5
Installing the transducer direct to the instrument.
If you use the FI-30 speed as a stand alone unit (not in a Nexus Network), the
transducer and the power supply are connected direct to the instrument.
1. Disconnect the connector on the transducer cable (only used when connecting to
Server).
2. Connect the transducer to the instrument as below.
3. Connect power to the instrument, always remember to use a 3 Amp fuse between
the battery and the instrument.
4. Note that there are no power on/off switch on the instrument. In order to switch of
the instrument, a external switch has to be added on the red +12V cable.
