Self test description
•
ROM, SDRAM and NMEA checks:
Result
is shown as OK or NG (No Good). For any
NG, try the test again. If the result is still
NG, contact your dealer for advice. (A spe-
cial connector is required to test NMEA.
Nothing is shown if the connector is not
connected.)

Control test:
Check controls for proper op-
eration.
•
Keys:
Push each key. The key's on-
screen location turns red or white alter-
nately and a beep sounds with each
push.
•
FUNCTION, GAIN and RANGE con-
trols:
Rotate the control while observing
its on-screen location. Clockwise rotation
increases the value; counterclockwise
rotation decreases it. Next, push the con-
trol. Its on-screen location turns red or
white alternately and a beep sounds with
each push.
•
MODE control:
Rotate the control. The
name of mode selected appears above
the control's on-screen location. Push
the control. The location turns red or
white alternately and a beep sounds with
each push.
