3.2 Heading Alignment
1. Locate a target (buoy, etc.) in the bow direction and display it on the screen at a close range.
The heading alignment is correct when the target is displayed at 12 o’clock on the screen.
When the target on the screen is
skewed to the right, the transducer
heading is skewed to the left.

2. If the heading alignment is incorrect, unscrew the two bolts fixing the main shaft and rotate
the main shaft.

Loosen two bolts.

3. Fasten two bolts unscrewed in step 2.
Note 1: Heading can be aligned through the menu if the error is small. When the error is large,
rotate the shaft to correct it; the tank guide should be oriented to ship’s fore-aft direction to
reduced shock at the main shift when the ship pitches.
Note 2: See the operator’s manual for how to align heading through the menu.

POSSIBILITY OF WATER LEAKAGE
To prevent loss of main shaft of the hull
unit and water leakage tighten bolts fixing
shaft retainer for torque of 2000-2500 N

cm and tighten fastening band for torque
600-800 N
•
cm.
