Additional Features of the P-2300 IT E:
The P-2300 IT E offers a switchable laboratory precision digital meter that displays incoming voltage in 1-volt steps or true RMS cur -
rent in 0.1 amp steps. The voltmeter’s accuracy is ±2.0 volts and features a tri-color voltage range indicator. This informs the user
whether voltage is in or out of a safe range, even from a distance too great to accurately read the displayed voltage.
NOTE: This product comes equipped with a 10 amp IEC C-13 female to Schuko male AC power cord (this is our standard export AC
cord, and the proper plug for most of Western and Eastern Europe). However, there are many countries that utilize the 220 to 240
VAC range of the P-2300 IT E, requiring a different AC cord. As the cord is detachable, it is easy to install a cord with the proper AC
plug for your location. There are many different AC cords available from Furman and your Furman distributor (check our Interna
-
tional website for available plug types, as well as AC outlet adaptors).
SAFETY INFORMATION
To obtain best results from your Furman Prestige Series Power Conditioner, please read this manual carefully before using.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not expose this equipment to rain or moisture. Dangerous high voltages are present inside
the enclosure. Do not remove the cover. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
(Please read prior to installation)
1. Please read and observe all safety and operating instructions before installing your Furman Prestige Series power conditioner.
Retain these instructions for future reference.
2. Your Prestige Series conditioner should not be used near water – for example: near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry
tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
3. Do not place your Prestige Series conditioner near high heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances
that produce extreme heat.
4. The Furman P-2300 IT E should only be connected to a 220 to 240VAC, 50Hz AC power outlet (preferably with a safety ground).
5. Route the AC power cord and other cables so that they are not likely to be walked on, tripped over, or stressed. Pay particular at -
tention to the condition of the cords and cables at the plugs and the point where they exit your Furman conditioner. To prevent risk
of fire or injury, damaged cords and cables should be replaced immediately.
6. Clean your Furman conditioner with a damp cloth only. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Never pour liquid on or into the
unit.
7. Your Furman conditioner should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
• The power supply cord or the plug has been frayed, kinked, or cut.
• Objects have fallen or liquid has spilled into the unit.
• The unit has been exposed to rain or extreme moisture.
• The unit does not appear to operate normally.
• The “Protection OK” indicator is not lit.
• The unit has been dropped, or the enclosure has been damaged.
8. Do not attempt to service your Furman conditioner beyond what is described in this manual. All other servicing should be re -
ferred to qualified service personnel.
NOTE: Furman’s P-2300 IT E does not compensate for high or low AC line voltage. If you frequently move your rack to different loca -
tions, derive power from generators, use excessively long extension cords, travel internationally, or are in an area prone to brown -
outs, you may benefit from the use of one of Furman’s AC Line Voltage Regulators.
INSTALLATION
The power source into which the P-2300 IT E is connected must be adequate for use at 10 amps. The P-2300 IT E is designed for
mounting in a standard 19 inch equipment rack. Because of its weight, the best position is the bottom slot of the rack. Its toroidal
