Chapter 1 Introduction
The HJ-500 12 ECG ･ RESP Module is a parameter module for monitoring
12-lead ECG and impedance respiration. It can only be used by installing
into the input box of the DS-5000 series patient monitor. Vital sign data
from the patient are received into this module to perform data filtering and
processing. The data display and interactive operations are performed
through the main patient monitor.

module is a parameter module to measure a
patient’s pO
2
and pCO
2
non invasively by inserting the HC-530 into the
DS-5000 series input box. The HC-530 retrieves various biological
signals from patients, filters those data, and analyzes measurements. The
data display and interactive operations are performed on the monitor to
which the HC-530 is connected.

can be decreased from 10 to 5(3).

Compact in size, the HJ-500 occupies only 2 slots of DS-5000 series
input box.
HC-530
・ The electrodes, basic hardware, and algorithm for tcpO
2
/pCO
2
measurements by Radiometer are used.
・
The device compact in size and uses two module slots in the DS-5000
series input box.
・
The temperature and monitoring time of the electrode can be set.
・
The calibration value and metabolic correction factor, and correct tcpCO
2
reading to PsCO
2
