Basic hardware procedures

Connect the power cord to the PSU (1).

Ê

If applicable, connect the mains plug to a grounded mains outlet in the
inhouse power supply network.

Ê

Roll the cable tie around the power cord and the handle of the PSU (2).

Ê

Fix the cable tie.

It will take about 60 seconds until the server can be powered on.

Before switching on the server, ensure that the top cover is closed. In
order to comply with applicable EMC regulations (regulations on
electromagnetic compatibility) and satisfy cooling requirements, the
server must not run while the top cover is removed.
