Back Panel Components

Following is a brief description of your LifeBook notebook

’s back panel components.

Optical Digital Audio-/Line-Out Jack
The optical digital audio-/line-out jack allows you to download digital audio onto a MiniDisc
recorder

’s SPDIF (Sony Philips Digital Interface) format or to use external speakers with your

LifeBook.

Microphone Jack
The microphone jack allows you to connect an external mono microphone.

S-Video Port
The S-Video output is used to transmit the S-Video signal. The S-Video port is used to connect to
a compatible TV or VCR.

USB Ports
The USB ports allow you to connect Universal Serial Bus devices.

Power Off Button
The power off button allows you to shut down the system in the event that standard methods do
not work.
