Security functions
New SmartCards have a preset PUK (see above).
if you want to re-initialise a previously initialised SmartCard, you will need
to know the PUK which was assigned to it.

Enter the PUK.
When the following appears:
•
ACCESS DENIED
= You have entered an invalid PUK. After six failed attempts,
the SmartCard will be blocked and can no longer be used.

Enter a new PIN at the following prompt:
Enter new PIN:
Confirm new PIN:
A number with 4 to 8 digits is acceptable for the new PUK. For security
reasons, we recommend that you change the PUK for every SmartCard,
and use an 8-digit number each time.

Re-enter the new PIN to con

rm.
When the following appears:

PIN/PUK do not match
= You have con

rmed the PIN incorrectly. You will be
requested to re-enter the new PIN and recon

rm.
