2. Align your battery with the connector away
from you.
3. Set the Battery Adapter for Multi-function
Bay 2 on top of the battery and push them
together. (Figure 4-4.)
4. Slide both device locks toward the front to
lock the battery in the adapter,
5. Install the combination in Multi-function
Bay 2 according to the preceding directions.
FLOPPY DISK DRIVE
For directions on installing a floppy disk
drive see To Install or Remove a Device in
Multi-function Bay 1, page 100. In addition an
optional external floppy disk drive may be
purchased and installed (page 103) for use when
Multi-function Bay 1 is needed for other uses.

on pages 34–36.)

Since the optional second battery can
only be used in Multi-function Bay 2 you
should never need to remove the adapter.
To Install a Battery in the
Battery Adapter for Multi-function Bay 2
1. Align the Battery Adapter for Multi-function
Bay 2 with the rounded edge up and the
open side toward the battery.
To Remove a Battery from the Battery
Adapter for Multi-function Bay 2
1. Slide the locks on either side of the Battery
Adapter for Multi-function Bay 2 toward the
back of the combination.
2. Pull the battery free of the Battery Adapter
for Multi-function Bay 2.
