Installing/removing a SmartCard reader and/or WLAN
module (optional)
There is an installation opening on the front of the casing which you can use to install a SmartCard
reader and/or WLAN module. As a result, no board slot is occupied when a second serial port is
installed.

The SmartCard reader and WLAN module can be installed together in the carrier.
However, you can also install only one of the two boards. The WLAN module is installed in
the lower slot of the carrier and the SmartCard reader in the upper slot of the carrier. If you
want to install the SmartCard reader and the WLAN module together, first install the WLAN
module. Removal is carried out in the reverse order.

► Push the WLAN module - with the
component side facing downwards - in the
direction of the arrow (1) into the guide (a).
► Fasten the WLAN module with the
screws (2).
