The Mode Dial
To select a shooting mode, align the mode icon with the mark next to the mode
dial.

(AUTO)
: A simple “point-and-shoot”
mode recommended for fi rst-time users
of digital cameras (pg. 16).

(NATURAL LIGHT)
: Capture natural light
indoors, under low light, or where the
fl ash can not be used.

: Select for full control over camera
settings, including aperture (

: Helps ensure good results in situations
with diffi
cult lighting. Each time the shutter button is
pressed, the camera takes two shots: one shot without the
fl ash to preserve natural lighting, followed immediately by a

(ZOOM BRACKETING)

each time the shutter button is pressed.
The fi rst picture will be taken at the cur-
rent zoom ratio, the second at 1.4 × digital
zoom, the third at 2 × digital zoom.
