FR-54RTR User Manual

Section 3 - Configuration

Select Dynamc (most common) or Statc.

Select Statc f your ISP assgned you the IP

address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server

addresses.

Enter your PPPoE user name.

Enter your PPPoE password and then retype the

password n the next box.

Enter the ISP Servce Name (optonal).

Select ether Always-on, Manual, or Connect-on

demand.

Enter the IP address (Statc PPPoE only).

Enter the Prmary and Secondary DNS Server

Addresses (Statc PPPoE only).

Enter a maxmum dle tme durng whch the

Internet connecton s mantaned durng

nactvty. To dsable ths feature, enable

Auto-reconnect.

Choose PPPoE (Pont to Pont Protocol over Ethernet) f your ISP uses a PPPoE connecton. Your ISP wll provde

you wth a username and password. Ths opton s typcally used for DSL servces. Make sure to remove your PPPoE

software from your computer. The software s no longer needed and wll not work through a router.
