FR-54RTR User Manual

Section 3 - Configuration

Choose Dynamc IP Address to obtan IP Address

nformaton automatcally from your ISP. Select ths opton

f your ISP does not gve you any IP numbers to use. Ths

opton s commonly used for Cable modem servces.

The Host Name s optonal but may be requred by some

ISPs. The default host name s the devce name of the

Router and may be changed.

Select for compatblty for DHCP server

The default MAC Address s set to the WAN’s physcal

nterface MAC address on the Broadband Router. It s not

recommended that you change the default MAC address

unless requred by your ISP.

The default MAC address s set to the WAN’s physcal

nterface MAC address on the Broadband Router. You

can use the “Clone MAC Address” button to copy the MAC

address of the Ethernet Card nstalled by your ISP and replace the WAN MAC address wth the MAC address of the router.

It s not recommended that you change the default MAC address unless requred by your ISP.

Enter the Prmary DNS (Doman Name Server) server IP address assgned by your ISP.

Ths s optonal.

Maximum Transmission Unit - you may need to change the MTU for optimal performance with your specific ISP. 1500 is the

default MTU.
