Care and maintenance
Safety
Warning!
An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening up the power source,
switch it off, unplug it from the mains and put up a clearly legible and easy-to-
understand warning sign to stop anybody inadvertently switching the machine
back on again. If necessary, discharge the electrolytic capacitors.
Generator-powered operation
Safety
The TP 1500 RC HD power source is
completely suitable for being run on
generator power, provided that the maxi-
mum apparent power delivered by the
generator is at least 10 kVA.
Scope of care
and maintenance
In order to keep your power source operational for years to come, you should observe
the following points:
-
Carry out safety inspections at the stipulated intervals (see the section headed
“Safety rules”)
-
Depending on the machine location, but no less often than twice a year, remove the
housing from the machine and blow the inside of the housing clean with dry,
reduced-blow compressed air. Do not aim air-jets at electronic components from
too close a range.
-
If a lot of dust has accumulated, clean the dust-filter insert and the cooling-air
ducts.

Note!
The voltage delivered by the generator must NEVER overshoot or
undershoot the range shown in Fig.8.
Note!
This only applies if the
FPA15 front print has been
replaced during the course of a
repair: solder and remove resi-
stance R11 (1 kOhm).
Only if resistance R11 is soldered and
removed, it is ensured that the relati-
onship between output current and ana-
logue signal as shown in Fig.7 is kept.
