Using FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater
Overview
You can use the FRITZ!Box in a home network which already has a
different FRITZ!Box as its router. To do this, configure the FRITZ!Box as
a Mesh Repeater. Then the FRITZ!Box expands the wireless network of
the other FRITZ!Box, which is the Mesh Master. Via the FRITZ!Box
(Mesh Repeater), wireless devices like computers and smartphones
receive access to the internet even where the wireless connection of
the other FRITZ!Box is poor or cannot be received at all.
Requirements
The FRITZ!Box to be used as a Mesh Repeater must fulfill the following
prerequisite:
• FRITZ!OS version 7.00 or later
Configuring Instructions: FRITZ!Box as a Mesh Repeater
1. Open the user interface; see page 47 .
2. Select “Home Network / Mesh / Mesh Settings”.
3. For instructions, open the online help .
