9. Notes on care and maintenance
In accordance with DVS 2208 Part 1 and BGV A3 (“Electrical systems and
equipment”), nonstationary electrical equipment must be subjected to repeat
tests at least once a year. This maintenance can be performed at FRIATEC or
one of its authorised service.
WARNING!
Electric shock from live parts! Danger of death!
• Never open the vacuum pump when it is supplied with operating voltage!
• The vacuum pump may be opened only by specialized personnel from an
authorised FRIATEC service station!
• First switch of the vaccum pump and pull plug out of the socket!
• All component parts are to be regularly cleaned of dirt and deposits. Please
use a commercially available cleaning agent - do not use any aggressive
cleaning agents.
• Don’t spray off by high pressure cleaner, use a cleaning rag to clean the
hood from time to time. If water is used, better mask all holes.
• Ensure that no liquids get into the air route in the equipment
• The vacuum pump is to be stored in a dry and clean place. After use, the
tool is always to be stored in the dry transport box.
• If required (e.g. after a longer period of storage), the rubber ring of the
plunger is to be re-lubricated using commercially available Vaseline DAB10.
Remove the handle from the threaded spindle and slightly grease the
through washer, the threaded washer and the rubber ring. Before, all grease
residues are to be removed using a commercially available, non-aggressive
cleaning agent.
