Operating the unit
Turning unit on/off:
1‐ Switching on
Press and hold the MENU/PWR until you hear a beep sound.
2‐ Switching off
Press and hold the MENU/PWR until you hear a beep sound.
Lock & Unlock the device.
Press and hold CALL button for 3 seconds to lock the device.
Press and hold CALL button for 3 seconds to unlock the device.
Auto scan.
Press & hold the MONI button for 3 seconds to activate auto scan.
Press & MONI button again to deactivate auto scan.
Adjusting the Volume
You have 8 present volume levels .They are displayed on the LCD screen ,when the radio is standby
Press the
button to increase the Speaker Volume.
Press the
button to decrease the Speaker Volume.
Press PPT(Push to talk) button to confirm the channel setting or MONI button or wait up to 10 second to confirm
Monitor
This feature enables users to listen in for weak signals on the current channel at the press of a button.
To use monitor,
For continuous listening.Press MONI and the receiver circuit will stay open, letting in both the noise & weak
signals.Display shows RXTo return to normal receive mode press MONI once again.
Sending a Call Alert Tone
To send a Call Alert Tone, Press the CALL Button quickly. The Call Alert Tone will be automatically transmitted for a
factory-set fixed length of time. During transmission, the TX icon appears on the display. The communicator returns
to standby mode when the Call Tone sequence is complete. For optimum performance, make sure the ANTENNA is
pointing upright.
Changing CHANNELS
You have a maximum of 20 channels at your disposal .To communicate with another device,you must both be on the
same channel.
