Button/LED Description and Function
Freeze and Focus Lock Button (Orange)
Press the orange FREEZE button once to freeze the
current image that appears on the screen. The Menu text
FREEZE appears on the screen. While in Freeze mode, the
zoom and brightness features are disabled.
Press the FREEZE button again to turn Auto Focus off.
When Auto Focus is on, the camera automatically focuses on
the object closest to the camera. When Auto Focus is off, as
indicated by the on-screen message, LOCK, the camera does
not adjust its focus. Turning Auto Focus off makes it easier to
write or work with an object, because the camera will not
automatically focus on your hand. During normal operation, it is
recommended that you leave Auto Focus on.
Tip: When you press this button, the message LOCK appears
on the screen when Auto Focus is off.
Press the FREEZE button a third time to return to the live
camera view.
The orange FREEZE button is located on the lower left side of
the remote control.
