6 - TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

The operations described in this chapter must only be carried out by authorised and qualified
personnel, using suitable personal protective equipment.
•
Before carrying out any work on the appliance, disconnect it from the mains and close the
gas shut-off valve.
Defect

The fan does
not start
No power
Check the electrical connections and the power
supply network (electrical panel, circuit breaker,
fuses, external switch, etc.).
Room thermostat not connected or
set on too low temperature
Connect room thermostat and/or set it to a
higher temperature
Thermostat socket cover not
inserted (in manual operation)
Insert thermostat socket cover
Room thermostat defective
Check and replace the thermostat
Motor protection fuse blown
Check and replace
Motor/fan blocked or defective
Check that the motor and fan can rotate freely.
Check voltage at motor terminals. Replace if
necessary
Previous trip of an external thermal
motor protector (if applicable)
Check that the motor rotates freely, inspect the
air inlet/outlet sections, check the thermal
protector settings
Flow switch contact open or blocked
(does not close/does not open)
Check flow switch, clean contacts, replace if
necessary
Previous trip of the safety
thermostat
Look for and eliminate the causes of
overheating (e.g. reduction of air inlet/outlet
sections, etc.), and reset the safety thermostat
The appliance is in lockout mode
(warning light button lit)
Find and remove the causes of the lockout and
press the reset button
Faulty flame control device or blown
internal fuse
Check the equipment and the internal
protection fuse. Replace if necessary
The fan starts,
but the flame
does not ignite
and the unit
locks out
No gas coming from the supply line Check the gas supply line, if necessary open
the manual valve
The solenoid valves do not open
Check voltage on solenoid valve terminals,
replace valves if faulty
