4 - MAINTENANCE
Before undertaking any maintenance,
disconnect the device from the electricity and water supply!
Periodically check that the thermal circuit efficiency and the fan functioning.
Keep clean the appliance, and prevent the accumulation of dirt on the lid.
4.1 Cleaning the appliance
Periodically perform the following instruction, the machine must be disconnected from the electric supply and be
sure that the exchanger is not hot.
Keep the body of the appliance, the fan and the electric motor clean using periodically a soft damp cloth a non-
toxic and solvent free detergent, rubbing and being careful to avoid excessive pressure (do not spray water on
the motor).
Do not use solvents.
The exchanger should be cleaned with a small brush with stiff bristles, rubbing the fins, being careful not to
damage them.
Check the fasteners tightening in case of unusual noises or vibrations.
It is highly recommended to use only original Franco Srl spare parts.
4.2 Replacing the fan
Disconnect the device from the electricity supply then disconnect the ventilator's motor cable.
Use a no.4 hex wrench (AP15 – AP25) or a n.10 spanner (all the other versions) to remove the 4 screws holding
the safety grill of the fan to the body of the appliance.
Remove the fan and replace it with a new one.
Tighten the screws you removed previously and check that the fan blades can spin without any noise.
Wire the cable to the motor and check the air flow.
4.3 Replacing the exchanger

Disconnect power supply;
•
Dismount the air blower from its support;
•
Remove the cover and the ventilator (fig.4.1);
•
Remove n.4 screws that fix the exchanger (fig.4.2);
•
Use a n.26 spanner to hold the fittings of the exchanger and use adjustable pliers to unscrew them (fig.4.4);
•
Extract the exchanger passing by the hole on the top of AP (fig.4.5).

•
Disconnect power supply;
•
Dismount the air blower from its support;
•
Remove the cover and the ventilator (fig.4.1);
•
Remove n.6 screws that fix the exchanger(fig.4.2);
•
Use a n.33 (AP30-AP35-AP40) or a n.41 (AP50-AP60-AP70-AP80-AP100) spanner to hold the fittings of
the exchanger and use adjustable pliers to unscrew them (fig.4.4);
•
Extract the exchanger passing by the hole on the top of AP (fig.4.5).
4.4 Accessories
