3 Getting Started
This section describes how to power on/down the scanner, provides brief
introductions of applications loaded on the scanner and display screen layout
of the scan tool.
3.1 Powering up the Scanner
Before using the NT7X6 applications (including updating the scanner),
please make sure to provide power to the scanner.
The unit operates on any of the following sources:

Internal Battery Pack
●
Vehicle Power
●
External Power Supply
3.1.1 Internal Battery Pack
The tablet scanner can be powered with the internal rechargeable battery.
The fully charged battery is capable of providing power for 5 hours of
continuous operation.
NOTE
Please turn off the tablet to save power when not use.
3.1.2 Vehicle Power
When the tablet is connected to a vehicle via the diagnostic cable, the tablet
scanner automatically receives power from the vehicle.
To connect to vehicle power:
1. Locate the data link connector (DLC). The location of the DLC is usually
as shown in the picture below.
