Chapter 2 Installation Instructions

Fan Connectors: CPU_FAN, FAN1, FAN2

There are three fan connectors on this motherboard.

Audio Connector: CD_IN, AUX_IN
(optional)

CD_IN, AUX_IN are Sony standard CD audio
connectors, to receive audio input from the CD-
ROM, attach the audio connector to the CD_IN
audio connectors on the motherboard.

The Serial ATA connectors are used to connect
the S-ATA devices to the motherboard. These
connectors support the thin Serial ATA cables
for primary internal storage devices. The cur-
rent Serial ATA interface allows up to 150MB/s
data transfer rate. Refer to RAID manual (in CD)
on how to set up SATA RAID configurations for
details.

S-ATA Connectors: SATA_0, SATA_1, SATA_2, SATA_3

1394 Connector: F_1394 (optional)

The 1394 expansion cable can be connected to
either the front (provided that the front panel of
your chassis is equipped with the appropriate
interface) or the rear panel of the chassis.
