11.8.

 

Firmware Update  

To update the PPA firmware, follow these steps: 

1.

 

 Open the 

Four Audio PPA softwar

e. The 

PPA Manager

 window opens.  

2.

 

Connect to the amplifier you wish to update via USB.  

3.

 

The amplifier will appear in the PPA Manager’s device list 

4.

 

Click on the gear wheel and select 

Switch to Firmware Update Mode (

Figure 23

)

 

5.

 

A new drive named PPA-FWU will appear in the Windows Explorer 

6.

 

This drive contains one file called “firmware.bin”. Delete this file. 

7.

 

Copy the new firmware file to the drive. Don’t rename the new file. 

8.

 

You may disconnect the USB cable after the file transfer is completed. 

9.

 

Power-cycle the amp. In the display the new firmware version is shown in the display header.
