When climbing steep gradients there may
be a tendency for the transmission to
continually shift between gears. If this
condition should arise press the button
to activate the grade assist function. This
will allow improved driveability in hilly
terrain.
The grade assist indicator will
be illuminated.
Press the button again to deactivate the
grade assist function.
Low
Note:
The transmission will downshift to
the appropriate gear for the current road
speed.
Select low when descending steep
gradients or driving in slow moving traffic.
Emergency park position

Note: If position P is selected again, this
procedure must be repeated.
Use the lever to move the selector lever
from the park position in the event of an
electrical malfunction or if your vehicle has
a flat battery.
Vehicles with 4-speed automatic
transmission
CAUTION
Take care when lifting up the hinged
cover.

Lift up the hinged cover in the centre
console next to the selector lever with a
small flat bladed tool.

With a small flat bladed tool push down
the locking lever in the slot and
simultaneously move the selector lever
out of the
P position.
