V. TV image overshoots or does not fill the boundaries of
the screen.
A.Use the on-screen control panel to adjust size and positioning.
B.Adjust the vertical and horizontal size controls on your television set.
C.Use the center 85% of your computer screen for presentations.
VI. Red power indicator does not light.

B.Possible power supply or L•TVPortable Pro failure.
VII. Possible L•TV Portable Pro Failure
A. If none of the remedies described above resolve your problem, it is pos-
sible that your L•TVPortable Pro has failed.
B. Visually inspect L•TV Portable Pro for signs of damages (broken pins,
severed wires, etc.)
C. Contact FOCUS Enhancements Customer Service at the address given
on the back cover of this manual. A representative will be available from
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM eastern time either to assist you with your problem,
or to give you a Return Authorization (RA) number. No goods will be
accepted for warranty repair or return without an RAnumber. Explain the
nature of your problem and any evidence of damage you may have found.
Be prepared to work through the problem as described in the beginning
of this section.
D. Pack L•TV Portable Pro carefully; the original shipping package is per-
fect for this. Send the package prepaid and insured via UPS, US Mail, or
similar to the address on the back cover of this manual. FOCUS
Enhancements will repair or replace your L•TVPortable Pro within five
working days. For units not covered under our one year warranty, or
where the warranty has been voided, a flat fee of $90.00 must be paid.

I. No video. No image at all from L•TV Portable Pro.
A.Read and recheck the installation procedure. Check connections:
• Check the connection from the display card to L•TVPortable Pro. Is the
special cable (provided) used in this connection?
• Check the connection from “Video Output” on L•TVPortable Pro to the
video input on your video device. Is the TV or VCR connected to the
Video Output of L•TV Portable Pro? Is your video device turned on?
• Check the connection from power supply. Is the red power light on? Is
the module plugged in?
B. Be sure to configure your television or VCR to accept auxiliary video
input. This is accomplished in different ways, depending upon the brand
of television or VCR you own. Some models require that the television
be set on a certain channel, while others allow you to change inputs from
tuner to LINE IN with on-screen programming. Is your TV set to the
appropriate channel and programmed to accept composite video?
C. Be sure that L•TVPortable Pro is connected to the appropriate connector
on your TVor VCR. The connection should be labeled VIDEO, VIDEO
IN, or AUX. L•TV Portable Pro will not work when connected to the
ANT, ANTIN, or RF connector.
D.RGB in and out cables have been switched.
E.Possible L•TV Portable Pro failure.
II. Video can’t sync up. Picture rolls.
A. Is your display mode and computer monitor size supported by L•TV
Portable Pro?
B. Check and adjust vertical hold and horizontal hold controls on your
TV/Monitor.
C. Certain “Windows Accelerator” VGAcards display 640 by 480 and other
graphics modes at higher frequencies than conventional cards. If you
own one of these cards, you may need to configure it to run at 60 Hz,
rather than 70 or 72 Hz. This is usually accomplished by using the VGA
card’s install program.
III. Noise, flicker, or other distortion on the screen.
A. Adjust the brightness control to minimize noise. This is very effective for
reducing noise in solid patterns on the screen.
B. Avoid “dither” patterns on your computer screen to minimize noise.
C. Use of an RF modulator will often cause image quality problems. Avoid
those devices that convert L•TV Portable Pro output into signals for the
ANTconnector on your TV.
IV. Bad color. Colors are poor quality or non-existent.
A.Adjust the brightness and contrast controls on your television set.
B.Adjust the brightness control on L•TVPortable Pro..
C. Use of an RF modulator will often cause image quality problems. Avoid
those devices that convert L•TV Portable Pro output into signals for the
ANTconnector on your TV.
