vice person must connect and
disconnect fireplace with gas
supply. Follow all local codes.
1. Using a 5/16" hex socket wrench or nut-
driver, connect or disconnect flexible gas
line and control valve (see Figure 27).
2. After connecting gas line to control valve,
always test for leaks.

open flame to check for a leak.

tection fluid to joints. Bubbles
forming show a leak. Correct
leaks at once.
CAUTION: The gas supply
shall be shut off prior to discon

necting the electrical power, if
any, before proceeding with this
installation.
CAUTION: Use gloves when
removing the glass pebbles/
burner module from your fire
-
box. Some metal edges may be
sharp.
1. Remove face trim, control access door
and glass door (see
Removing/Replacing
Glass Door
, page 22).
2. Remove glass pebbles.
3. Remove 6 screws to disengage plenum
(see Figure 28)
.
4. Remove 2 screws from pan burner.
5. Remove 2 screws from pilot and slightly
move the pilot towards the left side.
6. Remove 9 screws from front and sides of
firebox burner base. Lift entire base from
unit by pulling forward to disengage from rear
flange and then lifting up (see Figure 28).
7. If needed, replace burner gasket before
reinstalling glass pebbles/burner module
(see replacement parts list on page 37.)
