System Setup
Audio Setup
AUDIO SETUP:
Use these digital output settings
when you have connected your DVD player using
the coaxial digital audio output.
SPDIF/OFF
:
SPDIF/RAW:
This setting will output the digital
signal in the original format recorded on the
disc.
SPDIF/PCM:
This setting will output the signal
in
the decoded PCM 2 channel format when
playing discs recorded on Dolby Digital,
MPEG1 or
MPEG2 recording systems..
• The default setting is SPDIF/OFF.
PROLOGIC
: Select MOVIE MODE, MUSIC
MODE or OFF.
• The default setting is OFF.
Video Setup
BRIGHTNESS:
Use a slider menu to adjust the
overall image and background screen
brightness.
CONTRAST:
Use a slider menu to adjust the
image brightness in relation to the background.
HUE:
Use a slider menu to adjust the color
definition in relation to image and background.
SATURATION:
Use a slider menu to adjust the
color gradations in relation to the images and
background.
Speaker Setup
DOWNMIX:
Use to set one of the following
settings: LT/RT, STEREO, VCS or OFF.
• The default setting is VCS.
SUBWOOFER:
Use to turn the subwoofer
channel ON or OFF.
• The default setting is ON.
BASS MODE
: Select one of the following
settings:
ALL LG SPK, ALL SM SPK, MIXED SPK.
• The default setting is ALL LG SPK.
CENTER DELAY:
In Dolby Digital mode, if the
listening position is closer to the center speaker
than the front speakers, set the center delay
time higher. Use a slider menu to adjust to 0
MS, 2 MS or 4MS.
• The default setting is 0MS.
REAR DELAY:
In Dolby Digital mode, if the
listening position is closer to the surround
speakers than the front speakers, set the center
delay time higher. Use a slider menu to adjust to
0MS, 6MS or 12MS,
• The default setting is 6MS.
Digital Setup
OP MODE:
(Operation Mode)
LINE OUT: Select if you have a video input on
your TV or Home Theater.
RF REMOD: Select if you are using a RF
Modulator to convert the video signal from the
DVD video player to your TV or Home
Theater.
DYNAMIC RANGE:
In many listening
situations, it is objectionable to allow the
sound to become very loud, and thus the
loudest sounds must be compressed
downwards in level. Likewise, the very quiet
sounds would be inaudible and must be
brought upwards in level to be heard. Dolby
Digital satisfies these needs with dynamic
range compression.

Use the slider menu to adjust to OFF, 2/8, 4/8, 6/8
or FULL..
Notes
• The higher the setting selected will result
in audio with a more fully compressed
dynamic range.
• The default setting is FULL.
DUAL MODE
: Select STEREO, MONO L,
MONO R or MIX MONO.
• The default setting is MIX MONO.
