Playing Karaoke Discs
Special VCD / SVCD Features
PLAYBACK CONTROL (PBC)
allows you to play Video CDs interactively, following the menus on
your TV screen. Press the
PBC
button on the remote control to select PBC ON or PBC OFF.
When playing a disc with PBC function
1. If PBC is OFF, press the 4/; button to start playback automatically.
2. If PBC is ON, press the 4/; button to display the PBC menu (if available) on your TV screen.
Use the number (0~9)
buttons to enter your selection.
Note
• If PBC mode is switched ON, TIME SEARCH and REPEAT functions are not available.
THIS DVD VIDEO PLAYER WILL PLAY THE FOLLOWING KARAOKE DISC FORMATS
CD+G, VCD, SVCD and DVD Karaoke discs. These disc formats will display the lyrics on your television
screen with the tempo of the music, so you can easily sing along.
CAUTION !
• To avoid possible damage to your speakers, adjust the microphone volume to the minimum level before
connecting and turning on your equipment.
BASIC PLAYBACK
• After the disc is loaded playback will begin with the first track on the disc. The song title, followed by
the lyrics will be displayed as the music plays.
• Once you have selected the desired track, turn the microphone ON, adjust the volume control to a
reasonable level and begin singing into the microphone.
• To pause playback, press the
PLAY/PAUSE

button and press again to resume.
• To stop playback, press the
STOP
button.
• To adjust the sound output level, Press the
VOL+
and
VOL-
buttons.
• To turn off the sound output from your DVD player, press the
MUTE
button.
Note
• Program lists, and repeat functions will clear when you remove the disc, or turn the power off the DVD player.
USING THE SYSTEM SETUP MENUS
Look through the System Setup menu options for other options to personalize your Karoake setup. Using
the Speaker Setup, you can select to have the vocals audible only through the center or front speakers for
sound control, or all the speakers for maximum sound coverage. (See page 25)
REPEAT FUNCTIONS
use the
REPEAT
button on the remote to repeat one
track, all tracks or the entire disc. To repeat a portion
of a track you wish to learn (repeat A-B), use the
A/B
button on your remote. (Please see page 15)
SETTING UP A PLAYLIST
Press the
PROG
button on your remote to display the
Program Menu. You will be able to enter up to 16 tracks
in any order.. (Please see page 16)
SELECTING A TRACK OR TITLE
• Use the
/ / /
buttons to highlight a
desired song and press the
ENTER
button
to start playback.
• Press the
GOTO
button and use the
number buttons (0~9), to select a certain
song by entering the track number. Press
the
ENTER
button to confirm and begin
playback.
• Use the
/
buttons to skip between
tracks.
