Information on transport in an ex-protected area:
> Prevent electrostatic charge build-up during transport.
> Observe internal operating instructions.
4 Commissioning in explosive environments
Attention!

Observe the EC type examination certificate and the certificate
of conformity, respectively.

The pump
types F … must not be used as a stationary unit in
hazardous locations and must be continuously supervised.

The pump types FP … Ex S can be used as a stationary unit
in hazardous locations but must nevertheless be continuously
supervised.
Explosion hazard!

For use in hazardous locations only use explosion-proof electric
motors which are approved for category 2 (ZONE 1) or com-
pressed air motors.

For transferring liquids of explosion groups IIA and IIB and tem-
perature class T1 to T4, only pumps which are certified for use
in category 1 (ZONE 0) must be used.

If the commutator motors are operated together with the pump,
comprehensive, clear equipotential bonding is essential
(earthing).

For equipotential bonding, an electrically conductive connection
must be produced between the motor and the pump according
to EN 60079-14.

The drum pump must be arranged in a way to avoid friction and
impact sparks and to allow safe operation.

Repair on explosion-proof motors or pumps may only be carried
out by the manufacturer or an authorized repair shop.

When mixing non-conductive liquids, there is a risk of the circu-
lated liquid becoming electrostatically charged. Make sure to
prevent any ignition hazards.

The ex-protected motor must be located outside the mobile
container.

The hose used must be sufficiently conductive (see TRbF 50
annex B).

Observe the Technical Guidelines for "Flammable Liquids"
(TRbF) and the explosion protection guidelines of the Employ-
er's Liability Insurance Association of the Chemical Industry
(BG Chemie) during installation and operation.
