Programming the temperature alarm values
This function might not be accessible due to a configuration setting.
When the SELECT-key is pressed a few times, temperature alarm values are displayed:
- low temperature alarm: 40 ºC for example,
- high temperature alarm: 200 ºC for example.
To change the alarm value, follow these steps:
1)
press PROG: the word "PROGRAM" will flash or a pass code will be requested,
2)
use
► to select the digits and ▲ to increase that value,
3)
confirm the new alarm value by pressing ENTER.
Fig. 4: Example of display information during programming minimum alarm temperature.
When a value was changed but ENTER has not been pressed yet, the change can still be
cancelled by waiting for 20 seconds or by pressing ENTER during three seconds.
•
Temperature alarm
When the actual temperature is outside the allowed range, an alarm message will be displayed
indicating the type of alarm: "LO TEMP", "HI TEMP".
The alarm is terminated automatically as soon as the temperature is within its range again.
•
Low-battery alarm
When the battery voltage drops, it must be replaced. At first "
battery low”" will flash, but as soon
as it is displayed continuously, the battery MUST be replaced shortly after!
The remaining lifetime after the first moment of indication is generally several days up to some
weeks. See paragraph 6.3 for further information on battery replacement.

•
Range error
As soon as the input value is 5% outside the Pt100 measuring range (standard range -100°C -
+200°C or extended range type ZV: -200° -
+800°C), “RANGE ERROR” will be displayed.
