3. Remove the switch mounting screws from the motor.
See Figure 1.
NOTE: The new switch must be connected as shown
in either Figure 2A, or as in Figure 2B. Before dis-
connecting the old switch from the motor wires,
study and understand where the wires must go.
Proceed with Step 4.
4. Disconnect the switch leads from the motor.
5. Connect the wires as shown in Figure 2A or in Figure
2B.
NOTE: This switch is made with four quick connect
terminals. When a switch with leads is needed, use
the two leads provided in the switch kit.
6. Attach the switch to the motor with the screws
provided.
7. Reposition the float rod through the switch eyelet
and reattach the upper rod stop.
8. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
Lift the switch arm to the upper position and the unit
will start. Depress the switch arm to the lower posi-
tion and the unit will stop. See Figure 3.
9. Check the switch operation by filling the sump with
water and observing the operation through one com-
plete cycle.
Risk of flooding. Failure to check installa-
tion with water in sump can lead to improper operation,
premature pump failure, and flooding.
