SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
1.
This pump is supplied with a grounding
conductor and a grounding type
attachment plug.
2.
To reduce risk of electric shock,
connect only to a properly grounded,
grounding-type receptacle.
3.
Do not connect to any voltage other
than that shown on the pump.
4.
Do not pump flammable liquids.
5.
The national electric code requires that
a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
be used in the branch circuit supplying
tile saw.
6.
See your electrical supplies dealer for
this device.
7.
Do not use with water at a temperature
higher than 86°F or 30°C.
8.
Do not remove the grounding pin from
the plug.
9.
Ensure that the electrical cord loops
below the electrical outlet to form a “drip
loop.” This will prevent water from running
down the cord into the electrical outlet.
(FIG.2)
CAUTION:
1.
Do not let the pump run dry.
2.
Operate in fresh water only.
3.
Operate pump completely submerged.
4.
This pump is designed for pumping
fresh water, not for flammable liquid or
overheated water.
All other applications are
expressly excluded.
5.
Do not let the pump run when not
submerged in water.
Always submerge the
pump first, and then plug in the electrical
outlet.
6.
After the pump is plugged in, it will
pump the air out of the lines first. This is
normal.
After the air is out of the lines, it will
start pumping water.
7.
A clogged or dirty intake screen will
greatly reduce performance of pump.
Clean the pump as described in the
MAINTENANCE section.
