C.4.11 Communication setup Commands – AD, CL, BR, DX, OP, LI

NOTE:

These settings will only take effect after a power on reset (remember to store the settings using the

WP command before turning the power off.)

Device address setup / request

Setting the device address to 0 will cause the device to be permanently active, listening and responding to
every command on the bus without the need for an OP command.

With this command the following Baud rates can be setup: 9 600, 19 200, 38 400, 57 600 and 115 200
Baud.

Setting: 115 200 Baud

Factory default: 9600 Baud

In section 2 (page 24) an automatic search and adjusting mode for Baud rate is described. For this the sol-
der pads SW3 must be closed.

Half or full duplex communication

With this command the communication can be set to half (DX=0) or full duplex (DX=1).

Setting: DX=1 full-duplex

Half duplex communication can be used for 2 wire RS485 communication.

Note:

The auto transmit commands SG, SN and SW will only work if full duplex communication (DX=1) is

selected.
