12. DEVICE COMMISSIONING
Before commissioning:
»
check the unit for mounting;
»
check water hose connections for tightness;
»
check supply voltage in accordance with data plate;
»
check additional protection of the unit fan and housing;
»
check the electric motor for proper connection.
To turn the unit on:
»
open the heating or cooling medium valves;
»
turn the electric motor supply on;
»
adjust direction and range of supply air flow using blades on the outlet grille.
To turn the unit off:
»
reduce the heating or cooling medium flow to the unit exchanger;
»
turn the fan electric motor supply off.
In the case of a long-lasting stoppage of the unit or in the case of a break in the heat
distribution network operation, drain the heating coil of water and if necessary, close
cut-off valves.
13. REPAIR, MAINTENANCE AND WITHDRAWAL FROM USE
Rolling bearings used in the fan require no regular lubrication. However, it is recommended to
perform a periodical inspection of the condition of motor bearings (fan rotor should rotate freely
without any excessive plays or knocks).
If the unit starts to work with excessive noise, check the fan and the whole unit for proper mounting.
The rotor blades should be cleaned with a damp cloth, after having removed the protective meshing,
so as not to allow the rotor to be improperly balanced.
Do not use high pressure washers for cleaning of the fan.
For any disturbances in the unit operation, please consult the technician or technical service.
All maintenance and repair works should be carried out with voltage off. Also protect
the unit from being accidentally turned on by other people.
Regularly check the level of dust accumulation on the heating coil. When dust accumulation is in
excess, use compressed air to blow it.
Excess accumulation of dust on the heating coil decreases the unit’s heating or cooling
capacity and reduces the air efficiency.
Once the device is withdrawn from use, handle it to a proper waste treatment plant.
