ATTACHING AN ANGLE GRINDER (101100-101400)
1.
The rotational gimbal should come attached to the arm as shown below, if the tool has been provided to
FlexArm it will come already mounted.
2. Before inserting the tool into the rotational gimbal, ensure all the mount screws and clamp screws are
loosened up just enough to give the mount forgiveness to slide over the tool.
3. When the tool is inside the clamp the next step is to secure one of the two sets of clamp plates to the tool
by tightening down the clamp screws with a snug fit; do not completely tighten.
4. Next, tighten down the mount screws to a snug position on the previously tightened set of clamp plates.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the second clamp plate.
6. Lastly, completely tighten down the clamp screws (excessive force may cause damage to the tool’s
housing) and the mount screws to a secure fit.
Note: Each tool varies, in some cases the clamp plates will have to be completely removed before
the gimbal can be slid over the tool. Please contact a FlexArm specialist with any questions.
