2.2. Commissioning Smart Node without power supply unit
1
Opening the housing
Unscrew the four screws on the cover to open the cover.
2
Mounting the device
The housing has four slotted holes for oval-head screws.
For mounting on walls, we recommend screws with a diameter of 5 mm and a length of at
least 25 mm and matching rawl plugs, as well as washers with an external diameter of 10 mm.
3
Inserting the SIM card
This step is optional because all of our devices are delivered with a SIM card.
It is possible to replace this with your own card at any time.
4
Set the mains switch to "on"
Switching the power switch to "on" activates the device and it goes into installation mode.
This remains active for 30 minutes and can be extended by a control command or by
switching the magnetic switch on the board (using a magnet).
Caution: This is at the expense of battery life.
5
Server connection
After switching on, the gateway connects to the server via the network (GSM). The connection
process usually takes no more than 90 seconds.
6
Closing the housing
Close the housing using the four screws and seal it with the optional front foil.
