Preparation

Select an area with a floor surface appropriate for quick starts,

changing of directions, and jumping movements (see Operator's
Manual for specifications on space requirements)

Clear the activity area of all obstacles

Setup the TRAZER at one end of the activity area

Warm-up appropriate for the TRAZER activities to be used

Basic Setup:

Turn on the TRAZER computer

Turn on the video screen

Attached fully charged beacon to correct size belt

Fasten belt to participant with switch "OFF" and to the right

hand side

If using heart monitor, attach properly and TRAZER will track

and report cardio-vascular results

Turn on the Beacon

Log-in on the computer

Follow log on to TRAZER

Select challenge activity test

Select test repetitions

Move to center calibration position to allow 

system to assign center of gravity

Listen to the starting count down

Perform the activity

React and move quickly left, right, forward and backward

to strike orange bumpers

Toe raise or jump in jumping tests

Squat to strike yellow ring

Press "ESC" at any time to stop the activity

Review the "performance analysis"

TRAZER Tests

Reaction 1: tests very short hip-shifting, toe raise, and squat

movements

Mini "T" test forward, backward, right-left direction changing,

and reaction times

Lateral Speed: tests right vs. left movements with emphasis on

acceleration and deceleration

Jump Fatigue: tests maximal muscle power and endurance
