and left-hand crank. To switch to the oppo-
site hand, change the location of the Handle
Assembly (49). Unscrew and remove the
Handle Cover (34), slide the Handle Assem-
bly (49) out and slide it into the other side of
the Reel. Screw the Handle Cover (34) back
into the Handle Assembly shaft and tighten.
(See Figure 1 below and parts list and as-

The Handle Assembly (49) can be folded

up next to the Fishing Reel by pressing the
Handle Release Button on the Handle and
gently folding it back toward the body of the
reel. (See Figure 1)
Open or Closed Bail
The Bail Arm (12) can be set to an Open
1.
position for casting, or a Closed position for
reeling in. (See Figure 1)
When in the closed position, the Bail Arm

(12) prevents line from being released and
coming off of the Spool. Turning the Crank
Handle at this time, the bail will pull the line
in winding it around the spool.
Crank the Handle to close the Bail Arm.

Open up the Bail Arm (12). Tie new line to
1.
the Spool Assembly (6). Close the Bail Arm
(12) and begin winding the line on.
Make certain that the new line comes off
2.
the filler spool in the same direction it would
come off the Spool Assembly (6). Keep
tension on the line while winding. This can
be done by feeding the line through a cloth
in-between thumb and forefinger.
