Lighting the Grill by Match
To light the gas grill by match, follow steps 1 through 6 of
the Basic Lighting Procedures. Then remove the cooking
grids and vaporizer plate from the grill. Push the burner
slide lever forward until it stops. Place a long, lit match or a
long lit grill lighter next to the main burner ports and turn the
ignitor control knob to the HIGH setting to release gas. The
burner should light immediately. (See Figure 20). Replace
the vaporizer plate and cooking grids in the grill.
6. Set temperature and ignitor control knobs to OFF and
open the LPG cylinder valve. See Figure 19.
7. Push and turn ignitor control knob to HIGH. The built-in
ignitor will click and spark to ignite burner. Ignitor may
need realignment to generate adequate spark.
8. Confirm ignition by moving the burner forward by push

ing the handle forward and viewing flame through the
vaporizer plate holes.
9. If the burner does not light, turn the ignitor control knob
to OFF, wait 5 minutes for gas to clear, then retry.

temperature.
